Setup
- 1Connect the phone and Roku device to the same home network.
- 2Enable Control by mobile apps in the Roku network settings.
- 3Choose the discovered Roku in Beam and approve any on-screen request.
Compatibility boundary
Roku control is included only in release builds with valid partner authorization. Power and television-volume controls appear only when the selected Roku reports those exact capabilities.
If setup does not complete
Open Connection Doctor for the selected route. Beam checks the local-network path, permission or hardware gate, pairing state, and saved endpoint, then gives a specific next step. A discovered name or open port is never treated as proof that commands work.
