Bluetooth TV remote app for Android
Turn a capable Android phone into a standard Bluetooth keyboard, media controller, D-pad, and relative mouse for compatible TV hosts.
What Beam can offer
- D-pad and keyboard usages
- Consumer-media keys
- Relative pointer input
Setup
- 1Open Beam's Bluetooth setup only if it appears after the phone capability check.
- 2On the television, open Bluetooth accessory settings and pair the Beam phone.
- 3Use Connection Doctor if the host accepts pairing but ignores a particular HID usage.
Compatibility boundary
Requires Android 9 or later, a phone that exposes the public HID Device profile, Bluetooth permissions, and a television that accepts standard HID input. It does not reproduce proprietary voice-remote channels and is not available on iPhone.
If setup does not complete
Open Connection Doctor for the selected route. Beam checks the local-network path, permission or hardware gate, pairing state, and saved endpoint, then gives a specific next step. A discovered name or open port is never treated as proof that commands work.
